Randi Stevenson » Randi Stevenson recently stepped into the LiveWellNebraska editor role after working as an online editor for Omaha.com since May 2011. She as a degree in journalism from Arizona State University and spent a semester in Costa Rica and Guatemala learning to speak Spanish. Stevenson's "living well" inspiration comes mostly from her mom, a marathon runner, biker and yoga enthusiast. Having grown up in Northern California with a passion for hiking and snowboarding, she hopes to explore all the outdoor activities Nebraska has to offer. Katy Healey » Katy Healey is the fitness reporter for livewellnebraska.com and the Omaha World-Herald. She graduated in May from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a news-editorial journalism degree, with emphasis in political science and chai tea latte consumption. During college, she ran the Lincoln half-marathon, played intramural soccer and worked at the UNL Campus Recreation Center's weight room. Lindsay Novak » Novak is a licensed mental health practitioner, certified professional counselor, certified sex therapist and clinical sexologist. In addition to private practice, she teaches both undergraduate and graduate classes in psychology, gender, human sexuality, research, etc. Novak is published in the American Journal of Sexuality Education and is co-author of such books as "A Time To Heal" and "He Said, She Said." Jill Koegel » Koegel, a registered dietitian, doesn't claim to always eat right. She struggles with hectic schedules and picky eaters. In her Wednesday blog, she shares an easy recipe, usually tried at home with her husband and two children. Koegel is the sports nutrition consultant for Creighton University Athletics and owns Certified Nutrition of Omaha, a private nutrition practice. Dr. Eric Van De Graaff » Van De Graaff writes about the latest on heart health on his Monday blog. While stationed in Germany with the Air Force, he cared for seriously injured troops from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Omaha cardiologist now works at Alegent Health Clinic Heart & Vascular Specialists. He and his wife, a nurse, have a young daughter. Van De Graaff plays piano in a jazz band and enjoys marathon running, road and mountain biking, and other forms of what he calls "exertional masochism." Bridgit Kuenning-Pollpeter » Kuenning-Pollpeter does not believe in disability, but rather in being "differently able." She has been a Type 1 diabetic for 27 years and blind for eight. She graduated from UNO with a BFA in creative writing. Bridgit also loves reading, walking and jogging. She blogs every other Thursday about diabetes and blindness. Dr. Cristina Fernandez » Fernandez has helped to lead the fight against childhood obesity across the state. She blogs about the topic every other Friday. Fernandez is a board member of Live Well Omaha Kids, a community coalition; an associate professor of pediatrics at Creighton University’s School of Medicine; and associate director of a joint pediatric residency program between Creighton and the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
